This year in English class we did some pretty CRAZY activities. 

As always, I like to get some feedback on some of the activities we completed this year!

In the memoir The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, Jeannette is CALLED out by her teacher.

The teacher claims that people do not choose to be homeless, but become homeless because of other factors (drugs, alcohol, social services, etc.)

MEANWHILE, Father Emmett "Pops" Johns, who founded Dans La Rue passed away a few months ago.  He was the driving force behind helping the homeless with shelter and food.
