In the memoir The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, both Jeannette and Lori MOVE to New York City!

Imagine being able to MOVE to ANY CITY in the USA or in the WORLD!

Which US city would you move to?
Which city in the world would you move to?

Is traveling something you like doing?
Would you want to travel ALONE or WITH SOMEONE?

Explain.

  1. If I had the opportunity to move to ANY city in the US that I wanted to, I would move to California because they seem top have a lot of cool museums there. If I had the opportunity to move to ANY city in the world, I would want to move to Amsterdam. I have a family in Amsterdam. I've been when I was really young, but I do not remember anything because I was under the age of one. It is also a beautiful city and I would LOVE to live there. They also have a lot of historical things there, such as the Anne Frank Museum. I do not mind travelling, but my family and I do not travel out of Canada very often. I rather travel with family or friends. Everything is more fun and interesting when it is with family and or friends.I would also want to take my cat with my if I were to move into another country.

  2. New York is probably the best choice. Not because Jeannette went there, but because it was considered the best place to live for a long time. It even haves Britons fastest wifi which I guess is also a win. It also still have the trace of the past to when it was built. It's beautiful and said to h still detain it's character and community spirit.

  3. My first decision would be to stay here. All my family and friends live here and I love this place. If someone was forcing me to move to the US, i wouldn’t go anywhere in specific. I would just want to live somewhere that is nice and well off, but also really lowkey. I’m not into big cities like NYC or San Francisco. Although they were both amazing places to visit on a vacation, i couldn’t imagine living there. If I could move anywhere in the world, I would, once again, move somewhere that isn’t too crazy, but that also has a pretty average temperature. No crazy -30o C weather but also no 30o C weather. I would want to move somewhere with a very natural, outdoor esk to it, since I’ve always loved activities like hiking and exploring. However, I would need wifi. My family has friends who live in what would probably be my dream home if it wasn’t in Quebec. It’s a beautiful house, at the top of a hill, around 45 minutes away from Ottawa in the country. It’s so peaceful to live there, and yet Ottawa and the big city is just 45 minutes away. If I moved anywhere, I would have to bring my family with me. I’m also really big on travelling. As I said before, I’m SUPER big into exploring. I love learning about new places! That is really the main reason why my vacations to Hawaii, California and Israel had to have been some of the best memories of my life. I explored Volcanoes in Hawaii, even living on one for a few days! In California, we went to Alcatraz and camped in Yosemite. Yes Mo, Yosemite is in California, not Israel. In Israel, I explored the past of my ancestors. I was able to explore the birthplace of all my beliefs. We went to the dead sea, and floated in the water, hiked through Ein Gedi, a small Oasis in the desert, explored a Stalaktite cave, and even explored the ruins on top of Masada. So to finally answer the question. I would like to live somewhere small, but also not short of beautiful sights to see. At least, that's my dream.

  4. To be honest, I don’t think I would ever move away from my friends and family! Although, if I had to move to the US, I’d probably move to California or LA. Both of these city just seem so cool and modern. I don’t know how to explain it but when I think of these cities I think of success, freedom and beauty! Plus, they’re warm places! If I could move to any city in the world, it would be a city somewhere in Europe. I feel like in general Europe’s cities are so developed and so modern. It seems like a cool place to live! No matter if I move or not in my life, I hope it's with someone else! I don't think I'd be able to move to a different country alone!!

  5. The Is city that I would want to go to is New York City. The reason behind that is because I don't know any other major US city. I'm sure that there are better cities out there in the US but I don't know any other of them. I spent most of my time in New York and it's very crowded and it smells like tobacco everywhere kind of like when you're around Rex. The one city I would love to go to in the future anywhere in the world would have to be Rome. As you all know Rome is the capital of the Roman Empire and I am a huge, huge fan of the Romans. I don't know the language there but I'm sure I could learn how to speak Italian when I'm there. I'm not one to lie like traveling at all I prefer to just stay at home and play video games all the time or research some history documents but I do like to go some historical cities lile Paris or Istanbul. I'm not I'm not sure if I would rather go to Rome or any other city in the world by myself or with someone else. I don't really see the benefits of being with someone else except if they get to pay rent and being by yourself kind of sucks because you have to pay rent by herself but also you get the free time in the free apartment or house for yourself. It would be cool to have someone teach me Latin or learn a language with me on my journey over there in Rome. There are multiple cities I would like to visit when I grow older such as Beijing, Berlin, Istanbul, Madrid, the ruins of Carthage, Moscow and many, many more historical cities. The United States wouldn't interest me as much as Europe.

  6. If I were to move to one city in the US it would have to be Honolulu, Hawaii. I would move their because of how sick I am of all the cold weather we have here, all I want is a warm climate without french and I'm fine. If I were to move to any city in the world it would be Sydney, Australia. Because, I was born their and never returned, It would be so cool to live in such a warm climate with all the things I've been dreaming about all my life. Another cool aspect is I would be close to all my family in New Zealand and also my uncle that lives in Sydney, Australia.

  8. The USA city I would love to move to is New york city. I would love to live in Manhattan or Soho in one of those apartments like in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I love the architecture, and the atmosphere of those places. If I could live anywhere in the world, it would be either in an apartment on the street: champs élysées in Paris, France, or Knightsbridge in London, England. Or also in Monaco, France. Or pretty much anywhere else in Europe. I love the fashion and the lifestyle there. I definitely am more of a city person. I absolutely love travelling. I love experiencing new things seeing different countries that are beautiful and unique. I like travelling with my family and my friends. My friends just make traveling 100 times more fun.

  9. San Diego? Just seems really nice in general. The weather isn't freezing cold nor boiling hot. Another place is New York City, it's just always full of life and a nice park just sat in the middle of the city. But speaking worldwide I don't really know. I haven't put much thought into it. There are so many places and I have yet to get off north america and it don't want to say something without experiencing different places.

  11. I would either go to San Diego or Los Angeles just because of the weather and the environment. I love sunny and exotic places filled with things do. I used to watch this one youtuber from San Diego and his videos were my favorite videos mostly because it seemed like such a happy place, it suited me perfectly. People also had a certain type of humour in his videos and I have the same type of amour so I guess I could fit in for the most part. I would also go to Los Angeles because it is the coolest city filled with famous people and basically a food place at every corner. I feel like people are all looking for the same thing in the city... Justin Bieber.

  13. If I had to move to any city, it would probably be Cincinnati in Ohio... just kidding I don't know anything about the city apart from them having a football team. In all seriousness, I would probably move to Honolulu in Hawaii because it is a perfect balance of tropical and city, which is the best of both worlds. The beaches there are absolutely amazing you will get good weather everyday. You could also enjoy the city life without even going far from the beach. I love that place.

  14. If I had to move to a US city it would one hundred percent be San Diego. I’d like to live there since I was born in california and its somewhere i’ve always just dreamed of living there. Even if i could live anywhere in the world it’d probably still be in California. I do love traveling and my family travels a lot. Both my parents really love traveling and so do i. I could care less if i was alone or with someone when i travel i just love it.

  15. I would like to move to the US city of Phoenix Arizona. Phoenix is a beautiful city in Arizona. I really enjoy Phoenix because it is very family oriented and affordable for the majority of people. In the world in general, I would move to a quiet suburb of Australia. The minimum wage is extremely high in the peaceful continent of Australia. I would love to travel in any of these cities with my friends and family.

  16. if i had to move somewhere in the states it would have to be Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. that way i could watch me favorite hockey team, live in a nice city, and have great weather, i think. if i could move anywhere in the world it would be at in cayo coco Cuba. my family and i went to a resort in cayo coco and it was amazing. the weather was beautiful the beaches were as well and everything was just amazing. i dont mind traveling at all. although one thing i dont like is when my ear begin to pop a lot and it starts to hurt especially if theres still water in them. also i dont like when i begin to think of the worst case scenario. i would rather travel with a friend so that the trip would be more entertaining and i would have someone to talk to on the flight or drive.

  17. If I had to move to any city in the US, I'd choose Los Angeles, since I went there for vacation and can tell you that it's amazing. Almost every second house in Hollywood Hills has a famous person in it, so my snapchat story would be so l̷i͞t̸. The views from the hills are unbelievably beautiful. If I had to move to any city in the world though, I'd choose Tokyo, Japan just like the weeb I am. I'd love to travel to anywhere in the world, I'd love to go anywhere overseas. To end this off, I'll mention that I don't really like leaving my house without a friend or two.

  18. if I had the opportunity to move to any city in the US, I would chose Washington, DC. I don't know why I love the idea of moving there so much but its something id always dreamed of. I really love how everyone there is so democratic and dressed up in suits. but, i would also love New York city. I love NYC because they're is just so much to do and so much to see. its expensive, but the opportunities are endless. if I could chose any place in the world I would move to Australia. I really like that because its so different from here, and if I move I wanna move far. the wild life there is insanely unique and it would be such a dramatic change that I would love to try. I love to travel and see the world. I love to see wildlife in different habitats in a natural way. (no zoos) I also love to see hoe other people live all around the world. I would definitely travel with someone, not alone. I would travel with my four best friends, and no one else.

  19. I have never really thought of moving. I like where I live now. But, if I had to move somewhere in the US, I would maybe move to Charlotte, North Carolina. Charlotte is a great city to live in because it’s in the middle of everything (city, ocean, lakes and mountains). It’s also nice because it’s a very new city which makes it really clean. If I had to move somewhere in the world, I would maybe move to a city in Austria because it’s supposed to be beautiful and full of culture. I really enjoy traveling because we get to experience new cultures which I love doing. I like to travel with friends or family because we get to share the experience together.

  20. If I had to move anywhere in the US it would either be Miami or New York city. The reason why I would want to move to New York City is because I watch all of the shows like friends and how I Met your mother and the Jimmy Fallon show in New York City and it just seems so lit it just seems like so much fun to live there. It’s not too far from Montreal and my family either. My life goal is literally to move to New York City and find a group of friends where we hang out at bars just like in how I Met your mother. The reason why I would want to go to Miami is because I feel like I’ll be able to find success there and every single year for March break me and my family go down to Miami. It is so beautiful there and it just seems like exactly my type of city. I’m a bit too young to be saying this but it just seems like so much fun and it’s so warm there and everyone there is so funny...even though there’s a lot of crime. I don’t really know but in conclusion it would definitely be Miami or New York city.

  21. If I had to choose one city in the US to move to, it would probably be Los Angeles and for the only two reasons being, its hot, and I could pursue what I really want to do, bodybuilding. Now I know the air is all polluted over there and whatever. But career wise it would be my best option. Ever since I was a kid I was obsessed with becoming muscular, but I never thought about how it would affect money until now. And now that I think about it, LA would be best. And if I had to choose a city in the world to move to it would be just anywhere warm because I hate the cold. I love traveling, seeing new places and revisiting places I've already seen is something I enjoy doing very much, except the jet lag, hate that. Also I would never travel alone because I hate seeing things alone, I want to share these experiences with others.

  22. If I were to move to a place in the U.S, it would probably be San Fransisco because it's such a beautiful place and my aunt lives there. If I were to move to any place in the world, it would either be Greece, Turcs and Caicos, Maldives. Those places are all beautiful. I ADORE traveling. If traveling was free, you'd never see me again. Traveling is my favorite thing to do. If I were to travel somewhere, I'd definetly go with someone; friends, family.

  23. If I were to live anywhere in the world, I would either live in Paris (original, I know), or just go full crazy during my midlife crisis, become a vegan cross-fit juice cleanse monster, living on the side of a mountain somewhere in Thailand. Paris is the centre of fashion, business and most opportunities for those who want to enter the European job-scape in the middle of the action. Another part of me wants to be the person who only wears birkenstocks and billowy jumpsuits in a hippie van on some foreign beach (maybe I’d sell soap, who knows). It might seem like a silly answer but those are the two extremes of my personality, extreme and competitive or Birkenstocks me. But for now, I think I’m good where I am.

  24. I honestly have no idea where i would move to. I have given this a lot of thought before and i was never able to come up with a decision. If all the stars were to align, i would love to travel to different places never sleeping in the same place for too long, always being on the move and seeing new things. Living in places from hot to cold temperatures. From safe to risky conditions. But also i think it would be hard to leave my family. As much as they can get on my nerves sometimes it would be hard for me to just leave them forever. I would preferably love to travel with a significant other but then that would be expensive and im cheap.

  25. If I had to choose a US city to live in, it would probably be Honolulu because I would honestly love to be a surfer. Being at the beach all day and learning how to surf!! If I would have to choose any city in the world, it would be Vienna because of it’s beauty and history. It’s known their cultural events and coffee houses. It’s also extremely affordable to live there! The university is free, housing is affordable, public transit is reliable and very eco friendly ! I haven’t traveled that much , but I love it ! Exploring new places and cultures is amazing. I love travelling with friends and family, but going alone seems really interesting too. I could just do what I want to do and focus on myself.
