St. Thomas is known for its emphasis on student involvement and school spirit. All throughout the week we will be celebrating our school and the students in it.

Pride week is always fun. we have many events and the pep rally to look forward to . although the activities arent usually that fun. the themes are fun like pyjama day and ugly sweater day but the activities arent that fun. Besides that the pep rallies are always incredible. even though this years wasnt as great as last years it was still great. our school is very known for having all these amazing and fun events like carnival day our dances and much more. because of all that it gave our school a very unique identity that you wouldn't find in any other school.

DeleteSt-Thomas is well known for their pride and pride week just emphasizes the fact that we love our school. I am proud to go to this school because it is a great school. I hear people from other schools talking about St-Thomas and how they hear it is a great school and that they wish their school can be as great as ours. They always have very good dances and they may be the best school dance in the school board.

DeleteThere are a few events that I'm looking up to this pride week like the dance, meme day and the Nerf tournament(even though its during class time). I haven't had much school spirit lately to be honest. I currently am not in any after school activities and I don't do dress up days like pajama day or Halloween day and the reason for that is because I enjoy my current way of life.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to this year’s pride week, because the student council and the other people planning pride week always go all out with the decorations and stuff. It’s fun to see how much pride we have as a school. A lot of people from other schools always ask to be invited to our dances because they are known to be really fun. This affected my high school experience because at some of the events planned during pride week throughout grade 7 and 8, I made a lot of good memories with my friends.

DeleteI love pride week at St. T! I really enjoy how for a whole week there are themes to each day and we’re able to let loose and have fun! The fact that I’m on Student Council makes me love pride week even more because I know how much effort we put into planning all of the events and activities and when they turn out great and people enjoy them it makes me so happy. I think that the amount of school spirit at St. T has made my experience a lot more enjoyable so far. Knowing that not a lot of other schools have a pride week and that the students here are passionate about our school has made me enjoy St. T a lot more!

DeleteI really love our school. I think that we have so much school spirit and that we put on great events. I really enjoy pride week. I find it really fun and different. I found that the pep rally very fun! It really made me laugh and appreciate how great our school really is. I think that our school spirit has definitely shaped my high school experience. I look forward to coming to school and in my free time, I try to go cheer on our sports teams. Having as much school spirit at St. T does really makes our school unique and gives us more opportunities to make amazing unforgettable memories!

DeleteI am excited for many of the activities happening this week, the main one is the dodgeball tournament tomorrow (Tuesday) after school. I enjoy dodgeball a lot and plus I'm playing the tournament with a bunch of my friends. In dodge ball I got absolutely HARDO mode because it makes it so fun for me and makes it easier to get people out.

DeleteI am excited for the activities this week, there always fun and interesting and different every year. I think it make high school more enjoyable and fun. We are one of every few schools that does so much to make a great pride week. I think we are lucky to be at a school that that takes so much pride in pride week.

Deletei am always excited for the whole pride week but there are some events i look forward to more than others. for example the thing i am looking forward to the most is the dodge-ball tournament because i get to hang out with all my friends and play dodge ball. i think school spirit has made my high school experience much better because people are much more enthusiastic which makes it more positive
ReplyDeleteLots of people are probably going to scream at me for this, but honestly, I don’t see too much of a difference during pride week. Yeah, pep rally is cool, but to me that really is all there is to it. There hasn’t been a theme day that has really caught my interest. Mind you, I like the breakfast for lunch, but the line is insane for what it really is. What has really shaped my high school is the friends i've made here. They’re shaped me to be the annoying person i am, and they love me (as friends :P) because of me.

Deletepride week is cool yea, i just like to see how people dress to be honest. yea the activites r cool even tho i dont really participate in them but just seeing how people are is cool to me. i dont really find this had an influence in my high school career but it has help me mask up all the negativity going on :)

DeleteI love St. Thomas so much because they have so much pride and so much school spirit. The dances, themes, activities are so fun. But the pep rallies have always been my favorite part of pride week because the students and teachers on student council go out of their way to make sure its enjoyable and fun. The decorations and presentation of the pep rallies are so cool and amazing. St. Thomas is the best school ever. Sometimes I feel like the school is built off of pride.

DeleteSaint thomas is actually a pretty great school when you think of it. I know a lot of people that trash talk our school but I’ve never really understood why before. I find that everyone at St thomas respects eachother and that we’re all a family. We learn the right way and have fun! Pride week is probably the main thing that makes Saint Thomas great in my opinion. Yesterday was pyjama day; my favourite day of the year. Today was meme day and it was literally so much fun to see everyone’s costume. I love pride week so much. I will not be attending the dance but I wish I could. School spirit is great. It makes high school such a happier place; for me anyway.

DeleteI actually like the pride week because it gives of assortment of fun and for people who wants to make jokes. One of the joke that got me was the on in which you put a mannequin head on your head and put a hood. Mostly meme day, some costume were really unexpected. It really helps my school spirit because sometimes it can help me relax more from my continuous everyday schedule. Stuff like the Pep Rally is fun, skip a class. Yay!

DeleteI definitely believe that I am excited for this week's activities,not only because I had a hand in planning most of them. I can admit that some activities don't go as well as planned because of misexecution or lack of interest, but I see how much work goes into these activities and see the people planning them pour their heart and soul into these projects. This point of view, that of extreme pride for my school, has most definitely haped me as a human being. I love my school, I love the people at this school and it has taught me how to be proud of something.

ReplyDeleteSo far the 3 activities were a blast. I love seing what people come up with and what people wear on meme day. I think pride week is great week of fun for the whole school. After this week it's almost exam time,so we should cherish this time. I didn't enjoy the pep ralley though. I could barely see from where I was sitting and i was really uncomfortable. I also with that the activities were planeed better because no one actually cares about them.Other than that though I think pride week is an amazing time and will always be a blast.
ReplyDeleteSo far my pride week has been really good. On Tuesday, I dressed up in my pajamas. I think pride week is a really good idea to really show the juniors what our school has to offer. A major part of that is the pep rally. This year's pep rally was pretty good. I really liked it but I think that last year's ending was better. Also I got sprayed with silly string and people around me were popping balloons but otherwise it was great. I didn't dress up for meme day though because I couldn't think of anything. I can't wait to see what the next couple of days have to offer.

DeleteI was and still am very excited for pride week, this is the first pride week of my St Thomas years that I have actually participated. First was pride day, second was pajama day and third was meme day, then tomorrow and Friday are band shirt day and ugly Christmas sweater day. I will attempt to participate in them even though I do not own any of those things.

DeleteI'm looking forward to almost every single event the Student Council has organized for Pride Week, from the Pep Rally to the Dance at the end of the week, it's gonna be awesome. Especially during special days like the themed Pride Week days, I love to show off some school spirit through some attire and St. T tattoos. Pajama day's my favorite day.
ReplyDeleteI love pride week!! I'm so proud of our school spirit! I love the days that they've come up with this year. The classics like pyjama day and pride day where you have to dress in green and new ones like meme day and band shirt day! I think school spirit shaped me as a person because representation builds character and confidence. Being proud of who you are and where you come from builds self-esteem. Pride week is when we get to be proud of being a Saint Thomas student, and being apart of something important and amazing!
ReplyDeleteOne of the many reasons that i love st.thomas is because of the school spirit. The pep rallys are always so much fun because of the excitement and energy and also the lame, but yet funny, jokes. This years pep rally was fun but different because it was new MCs. Pride week is always so much fun to participate in because not every school does a week of dressing up in different things. PJ day is always my favorite because i live in my pjs so it was fun to come to school in my onzie. The one thing i'm not exited for are the school dances because i find that they are getting a little repetitive with all the same things also they are a little boring. I think good school spirit is a great thing for a school to have because the environment that your surrounded by will affect how the years of being in high school will feel like. At st Thomas we have lots of school spirit and a happy environment so school isn't that bad, compared to other schools where its very boring and plain.
ReplyDeletei really enjoy st thomas pride week because you can dress up and really follow a flow of the school. it can really represent who these students really are and we show all our love for the school. my favorite part of pride ween is that we get to have a school dance at the end of the week (the friday) it is always fun to have dances because i get to see all my friends have have a lit night with my school community
ReplyDeleteLet me get this straight, has school spirit is supposed to give me a positive experience in learning!, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH... oh wait you're serious? I only wish we could have actual fun pride week days instead of meme day and band shirt day, like is this some sort of joke, it is. Make a day were everyone has to come to school with a water gun and we all shoot each other and destroy the school or even better, a day were we have to come to school with the most shirts on. See I have some good ideas. Look how creative I am, hire me not Aidan Flanagan.
